Learning Overview

This workshop will help you gain a solid understanding of the Disciplined Agile mindset. Understanding the DA principles, promises, and guidelines, which form the foundation of the framework is an inevitable step to be able to utilize this Agile way of thinking.


The Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) course offers participants a comprehensive exploration of the Disciplined Agile (DA) mindset, encompassing its underlying principles such as pragmatism, the power of choice, and adapting to context. 


Through this course, participants will gain valuable insights into multiple leading agile and lean approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe®, and more. 


The course focuses on the fundamentals of agile and lean, providing participants with the necessary knowledge to effectively employ these approaches. 


Participants will develop the skills to put these strategies into action within their agile teams, ensuring successful implementation. 

Additionally, the course instructs participants on how to utilize the Disciplined Agile toolkit to identify the most suitable Way of Working (WoW) for their specific agile team and unique situation. Furthermore, participants will be fully prepared to undertake the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) Certification exam, with the exam fee included in the tuition.

Delivery Information

  1. This course is delivered entirely online
  2. The course is structured to consist of five workshops, each requiring a minimum of four hours to complete
  3. The DASM exam is administered through Pearson VUE. The exam is an online, non-proctored test including 50 multiple-choice questions. The total exam appointment is 120 minutes—30 minutes for the introduction, tutorial, and survey and up to 90 minutes for completing the exam.
  4. Exam fees are included in the course fees
  5. Exam Retake Policy: DASM & DASSM: Upon submitting payment for the exam, candidates have 60 days to take the exam. In an unsuccessful exam attempt, candidates may submit payment to retake the exam. All candidates will receive an initial three exam attempts to pass the exam during the 60-day eligibility period. If you encounter three unsuccessful exam attempts, there will be a 45-day eligibility waiting period before submitting payment again for an exam retake.
  6. Students will have 60 days from the time they receive the exam link to take the exam. They may retake it two more times within that 60-day period if they do not pass the first attempt. However, there is a $105.00 exam retake fee. Students can pay this fee directly via their myPMI dashboard. Upon payment, you can access the link to retake the exam. 
  7. DASM certification is good for one year. To renew the certification, you must earn 7 PDUs in agile topics and pay the $35.00 renewal fee. Active PMI members can renew at the reduced price of $14.00 per year.
  8. Flexible scheduling and convenient access to the course are designed to meet the needs of busy professionals
  9. Upon passing the exam, participants will be certified as DASM.
  10. We require a minimum of registrations for this workshop. If the minimum number is not met, the workshop will be cancelled. Registrants will be contacted.
